Terms of Service
By using Ignis, you're agreeing to these terms, and to the Privacy Policy. They're written in plain language on purpose — if anything here is unclear, write to us.
1. What Ignis is
Ignis turns any subject into a story you can explore — its timeline, the people who shaped it, and where it leads, told in words matched to the age group you choose. Some of what you read is written with the help of an AI model.
2. Your account
Sign up with accurate information, and keep one account per person. You're responsible for what happens under your account — including one you've set up for your child or your students — and for keeping your password to yourself. If you think your account has been accessed by someone else, tell us at learnwithignis.wiki@gmail.com.
3. Children and families
Ignis welcomes younger readers, but an account should be set up and supervised by a parent, guardian or teacher, particularly for the 6–9 age group. Ignis does not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child, and does not ask a child to create their own account.
4. Using Ignis fairly
One subject is free to explore while signed out; an account carries its own usage, capped so the service stays affordable to run. Please don't try to get around that cap, automate or scrape the app, resell access to it, or use it to generate content meant to mislead or harm someone.
Extra usage is unlocked with a redeemable code. Codes are for your own use, have no cash value, aren't refundable once redeemed, and may come with limits we describe at the time you redeem one.
5. The Tellings
Tellings are written with the help of an AI model, and care goes into keeping them accurate — but AI can get things wrong, so don't treat Ignis as the sole source for schoolwork citations, or for a medical, legal or financial decision.
6. Ownership
Ignis — its design, its writing, its code, and Wisp's artwork — belongs to its creator. The history a subject covers belongs to no one; a Telling generated for you is yours to read and use personally, but not to republish or resell as your own.
7. Ending an account
You can stop using Ignis, or ask us to delete your account, at any time. We may suspend or close an account that abuses the service or breaks these terms.
8. No promises, limited liability
Ignis is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we don't promise it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or available every moment. To the extent the law allows, Ignis and its creator aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it.
9. Changes
These terms may change as Ignis grows. The date at the top of this page will change with them, and continuing to use Ignis after an update means you accept it.
